Storm vs Knights Preview by Dean McHugh

08 June, 2024

Sunday kicks off with the return of table toppers Melbourne as they entertain the Knights at AAMI Park. They will be hoping the week’s rest has done them some good after losing two of their previous three fixtures.

Newcastle appeared to be on a roll after winning four in a row, but they were brought back down to earth with a thud last week, losing by 30 points at home to the Bulldogs. And speaking of being at home, this is a fixture that has certainly favoured the team playing at home in recent years. That’s because the side playing at home has won six of the last seven fixtures between them.

This one should go the same way but the odds on the Sharks are very short, especially for a team that has lost two of their last three. Instead I will opt for Katoa to get over the try line. Despite the team’s poor form, he has managed to score a try in each of his last three matches and he could make it four in a row here. He also scored the opening try when the teams met in pre-season earlier this year.

Bet – Katoa to Score a Try for Melbourne
