Carlton v Gold Coast, Marvel Stadium

Injuries are threatening to ruin Carlton’s season. The Blues raced out of the blocks but have
lost four of their last six matches to tumble outside of the top-eight. The corresponding match
last year was when Carlton started their famous run to a preliminary final, annihilating Gold
Coast at the MCG. But the Suns under Damien Hardwick are playing the best footy in the
club’s history, blowing away Geelong in Darwin last week. Gold Coast’s form in home
games, whether it be at People First Stadium or in the Northern Territory, has been
impressive but it has been the opposite on the road. An away win against a premiership
fancy would have the Suns well on their way to a historic maiden finals appearance.
