Sharks vs Titans Preview by Dean McHugh

We have a doubleheader this Friday. which kicks off with the Sharks hosting the Titans. Cronulla will be hoping to turn their fortunes around, having lost four of their last five in recent weeks. Will that happen or not? Well, it depends on what Titans team turns up. Will we see the team that walloped the Warriors and beat the Broncos recently, or will it be the side that lost to the lowly-ranked Rabbitohs and Tigers?

Either way, the Sharks will be encouraged by their fantastic record against their opponents here having won the previous nine in a row. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to back them, but at the same time, I wouldn’t be rushing out to do it myself at such short odds.

The Sharks have started slowly as of late and have trailed in each of their previous six games at half time. Given their fragile confidence, they could be cagey and conservative to begin with here. In contrast, the Titans will be full of confidence after last week’s win against the Warriors, a game in which they led 30-0 at half time.
