Roosters vs Cowboys Preview by Dean McHugh

The shortened week 13 fixture list ends with the Roosters hosting the Cowboys in Sydney. The bookmakers expect this to be a completely one-sided affair, and it’s hard to argue against a win for the Roosters. 

Although, with that said, the Cowboys look like they are improving week on week. After getting crushed by the Sharks in week 7 they put up a good fight against the Panthers, they went down by just two points to the Dolphins and the Titans and they managed to pick up wins in their previous two. Therefore, excuse me if I’m not rushing out the door to back Sydney at such short odds.

The safest play here is to back points and plenty of them. The Roosters are the highest scoring team in the competition and the Cowboys are the second highest. Neither team is fantastic in defence and rely upon outscoring their opponents each week.
