NRL Round 20 Preview By Dean McHugh

18 July, 2024

It’s the third and final origin match of the series this week; let’s hope this round is as profitable as the last. We were two from four last week, with our bet of the week hosing up as the Sharks annihilated the Tigers. We hope you all got on early, as the bookmakers slashed the odds for Cronulla on the day of the game. On to week 20…

Raiders vs Warriors Preview

Only a single point separates the Raiders from the Warriors in the NRL standings, and this one feels like a make-or-break game for both teams. Only four points separate eight teams battling it out for the final playoff spot, so every game feels like a final at this stage.

Both teams have had very similar seasons, starting well and petering off as the season progressed. The Raiders have lost their last four, and the Warriors have only won once during that same period, so it’s safe to say confidence is low in both camps. We also have a team that has been terrible on home soil against a side that has been dreadful away, so you’d have to be brave to try and pick a winner here.

Instead I’m going to opt for a tight, low scoring game and tip up the Raiders to not trouble the scoreboard often. They’ve gone under the total set here in three of their last four games, sneaking over once against a poor Tigers side. Despite their recent woes, the Warriors defence has been decent over the last two weeks and they defended the total set here comfortably. The Raiders have also gone under the mark in their previous three meetings with the Warriors.

Bet – Raiders Under 22.5 Points
