Lightly raced 4YO for Michael Hickott on top for me. Won well FUP this preparation before having excuses 2nd up. SUNZOU looks the clear danger from the front, however he looked to get all the brakes in a moderately run race. Last preparation STORYTELLER was 0.5L off subsequent G3 winner, SGHIRRIPA, that reads well for this.

Race 7 – 3:25PM Sportsbet Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2500 METRES)

#2 The Map – $2.4

Hands up if you were on this Mare in the Adelaide Cup and were on the floor as they past the post 🙋. This might not be the Cup that Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray were after, however, she is beautifully placed and deserves outright favouritism in this race. Jamie Kah sticks and has proven that she can get this horse to sit closer to the speed from an inside draw, I suspect she will hunt runs and be mighty hard to hold out.

Race 8 – G1 South Australian Derby 3YO’s SW (2500 METRES)

#1 Antrim Coast – $8

The Stephen Marsh trained visitor from over the ditch has strong G1 New Zealand form to his name and backed that up at his first run here. He won tough in the G2 Alister Clark Stakes at The Valley, then went down at Caulfield after Stackhouse pushed the button early, sustaining a big run in a fastly run race. He is hard fit, drops 2.5kg from LS and with Mick Dee in the saddle he maps to get the softest of runs from barrier 6.
