#9 Irrefutably – $11/$2.9

Debut win at Geelong over 1140m was very professional. She was the beneficiary of a strong tempo, hooked to the outside and produced the FL400m of the meeting. Can go on with it and presents value at an EW price.

Race 2 – BM70 Handicap F&M (1600 METRES)

#9 Burlington Gate – $10/$2.9

She’s the one with the upside in this field. Hit the line hard FUP in 64 grade, really got going late over 1300m, race fastest closing splits. Drops 3.5kg off that run, draws 4 and at start 6 there is potential for a much higher ceiling than a few of these.

Race 4 – 1:30PM Mornington Peninsula News Group Hcp (2000 METRES)

#3 Galeron – $4.6

Just the 2 runs in Australia and the 2nd career run for Annabel Neasham. Was very good FUP when spotting ARRAN BAY a big lead, got home FL400m of the race. Meets him 1kg better off and big tick out to 2000m.

Race 6 – Mornington Guineas (1600 METRES)

#5 Riproar – $2.9

Great win FUP carrying 60kg, took a while to wind up but once he got into his work he ripped clear for a soft win. He has a dominant 2nd up win to his CV from back in New Zealand and I suspect he is going to find the 1/1 here. Will eat up the mile.

Race 7 – BM78 Hcp (2000 METRES)

#3 Sea What I See – $1.9

Has to go on top. Racing super at the moment and looks destined for black type races. 4/4 this preparation and put a hole in her opposition LS after drifting late in the market. Stays at the trip and maps to get a nice run in behind the speed.

Race 8 – 4:00PM Sportsbet Mornington Cup (2400 METRES)

#5 Deny Knowledge – $7.5 

#2 Future History – $9.5

Both runners were very good when 2nd up in the Easter Cup and will only strip fitter from that run and put themselves into the race up on speed. 

DENY KNOWLEDGE has some genuine Spring form around PRIDE OF JENNI and ATISHU in the Empire Rose before going on to win the G2 Matriarch Stakes. 

FUTURE HISTORY is the class galloper many gave some hope to in the Melbourne Cup. Well suited here.

Race 9 – Listed Hareeba Stakes Hcp (1200 METRES)

#11 Grand Impact – $5

#5 Pintoff – $11

GRAND IMPACT had 17 months away from the races before his FUP run at The Valley in 84 grade. Had to carry 61kg’s that day and fitness gave way late. Drops 7kg in the weights, down to 54kg, has great gate speed and will improve vastly 2nd up. 

PINTOFF was formerly with Carly Cook, now with Ciaron Maher and has been jumping out super. Already halved in price, can still entertain at double figures.
