A mouth-watering clash in Canberra to follow the MCG spectacle. GWS are coming off their first loss of the season, and they could be without Jesse Hogan and Toby Greene depending on the outcome of their challenges at the tribunal. The Giants will definitely be missing star defender Sam Taylor (concussion) and midfielder Stephen Coniglio (knee). But the Lions have their own issues after a baffling defeat in the wet to Geelong. Last year’s grand finalists didn’t adapt to the wet conditions and were left with a 0-3 record at the Gabba – the venue they made a fortress last season in not losing a game there. It’s only round seven, but another loss here would send Brisbane’s season spiralling further.
