Although only two points separate these teams in the ladder, one team is on the ascendancy while the other has been in freefall in recent weeks. That’s reflected in the bookmakers’ prices as the Broncos are strong favourites to claim victory here. 

Parramatta simply don’t know how to defend at present having leaked scores of 32, 44, 20 and 41 in recent weeks. This will be good news for Brisbane, as they will look to get back on track, having been thumped by the Roosters last week. Prior to that defeat, they had picked up wins by margins of 24, 24 and 14, with two of those victories coming against teams that walloped their opponents here. The Broncos have also won three of their last four between these, including on their previous two visits to Sydney.
