Adelaide were gallant in their defeat to the Brisbane Lions, while St Kilda are coming off a
classic come-from-behind upset of Sydney. Sitting 15th and 14th respectively, these teams
had high ambitions coming into 2024 and have fallen well short. Even though they can’t play
finals, the Crows and Saints will be eager to carry some momentum into 2025. Adelaide will
be without suspended star Izak Rankine, but emerging forward Riley Thilthorpe will finally
play his first game of an injury-interrupted season. Thilthorpe was the hero for the Crows in a
close win over the Saints in 2021. Bradley Hill (personal reasons) and Marcus Windhager
(injury) are big outs for St Kilda.
